My wife has a part-time respite job teaching a young man with autism, and so this particular cause is of interest.
From their info: "Cure Autism Now (CAN) is an organization of parents, clinicians and leading scientists committed to accelerating the pace of biomedical research in autism through raising money for research projects, education and outreach. Founded by parents of children with autism in 1995, the organization has grown from a kitchen-table effort to the largest provider of support for autism research and resources in the country. The organization's primary focus is to fund essential research through a variety of programs designed to encourage innovative approaches toward identifying the causes, prevention, treatment and a cure for autism and related disorders."
You can buy postage stamps telling people of this worthy cause! See the store here:

Comfort The Children International
Comfort The Children International is, to quote their website: "a non-profit working alongside Kenyan communities to create sustainable change. Instead of simply giving aid and money to those in need, we build relationships and programs that empower residents to help themselves."
They have a whole lotta fun and cute products, here's an example:

Works of Mercy Update
In my last post here, I said that I was going to be writing about my wife's Works Of Mercy Store on Zazzle. I ended up doing that, but instead chose to do it on one of my main blogs: Sober Catholic. Just go over there and look around, most of the posts in mid- to late- January 2013 are about them. You can always do a search in the search box for each individual one. They are:
Corporal Works of Mercy
Feed the hungry,
Give drink to the thirsty
Shelter the Homeless
Clothe the naked
Visit the Sick
Visit the imprisoned
Bury the dead
Spiritual Works of Mercy
Correct the sinner
Instruct the ignorant
Counsel the doubting
Comfort the sorrowful
Be patient with those in error
Forgive offenses
Pray for the living and the dead

Works Of Mercy Store on Zazzle
My wife, Rose, has a variety of online "virtual" storefronts on Zazzle.com. Zazzle is a site where you can create an online store and upload artwork and such, which can be customized on bazillions of products.
One nice store that she has offers various "Works of Mercy" products. The Works of Mercy originate in the New Testament, chiefly the Gospel of Jesus according to Matthew, Chapter 15, verses 31-45.
You can view the entire store here:

Later I may be highlighting individual products, like this one:
I have already been doing from my Twitter account @paulsofranko .

Mirth of a Salesman
I decided to rename this blog. In keeping with its new mission of selling stuff (I get referral fees when you buy things through the links. Actually, my wife gets them, but it's all the same. My bank accounts, her bank accounts, it doesn't matter.) I chose "Mirth of a Salesman," with the tagline: 'All I want to do is sell you things! And be a little funny or quirky while doing it. If you can smile or smirk or giggle even once after reading a post, hey, that's cool.'
It came to me last night in a dream. Most of the dream was some sort of geopolitical drama involving Chinese hegemony over Indonesia and Malaysia, and where "Mirth of a Salesman" actually fits in is rather murky.
Nonetheless, I woke up, thought about it and decided to change it in Blogger this afternoon. All the feeds should still work.
The old blog name "Trudging Paulcoholic's Road" will be used for some other project involving the original site for SoberCatholic.com (SoberCatholic used to be hosted on Blogger before I switched to a self-hosted service with the aid of a friend and WordPress.) "TPR" is more suited for recovery work.
