Garfield

Long time readers of this blog know that I love cats (OK, so this version of this blog is at the time of this post only a couple of weeks old, but over time links to individual posts will be reshared and retweeted.)

Anyway, one of the most famous and successful cats is Garfield. The coffee lovin' kitteh (another reason to love him, cats and coffee!!!!) has been around for decades, long before cats have achieved their pop cultural dominance through the Interwebz.

Get your fix for his stuff here: Garfield

Gotta say it again: Cats and Coffee!!!!

Cash Cab!

Cash Cab is a fun game show. You're in New York City, you hail a cab to take you somewhere, and after you get in and the cabbie asks you where you wanna go, lights start flashing all over the interior and the game begins! You have to answer a bunch of questions and if you get them right, you win money. The amount depends upon the questions, that more you get right, the tougher they become. If you get three questions wrong, game over and you get let out wherever you are. If you're short of your destination, too bad. If, however, you arrive at your destination and are still in the running, you get to keep whatever money you've won so far. There is an option to double your money by chancing a video question (you watch a short video and answer a question about it.) Get the question correct, your winnings are doubled, get it wrong, you're out everything. But you at least made it to where you wanted to go.

Ni Hao, Kai-Lan

I have never seen this show, nor have heard of it until my wife gave me the link to promote, but I looked it up and it sounds like a cute show.

It appears to be a children's TV show based upon the creator's memories of kidhood, as well as introducing children to practical multiculturalism and even mandarin Chinese.

Surfing Stuff

I used to live in Southern California. I owned surfboards, but never surfed. As I can't swim, I felt it was responsible to not take up surfing.

Ansel Adams

One of my favorite prints is Ansel Adams' "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico." A dear old college buddy had given me a print as a gift after I mentioned having been mesmerized by it at wherever we were when I had gotten transfixed by it. (This was back in the late1980s. I try to forget the late '80s, except for the music.)

Unfortunately, Ansel Adams Gifts and Products doesn't have that specific print, but they do have many other fine examples of this iconic photographer.

Toys for Tots

The United States Marine Corps have a wonderful holiday tradition called "Toys for Tots." People donate toys, the Marines collect them and distribute them to needy kids.

M&M's and serenity

I think it was way back in college when I adopted the practice of munching on M&M's for comfort. It was an easy to obtain comfort food. Just wander on down to the snack machine in the dormitory's lounge area and buy  bag. I would feel better. Serenity and peace in a bag of chocolate candies.

I don't know why I settled on M&M's. A key hint may be the insides made of chocolate. That, and their exteriors of bright, shiny happy colors represented an escape to a simpler, peaceful time or place.

I think there are M&M's in Heaven.

Build a Bear

I never heard of Build-a-Bear until a year or so ago. I had to take a young person in to a Build-a-Bear  store so he can custom design his own stuffed animal plaything. It was interesting. Although the Build A Bear Gifts and Products oesn't have much to offer at this moment, they do offer these nice keychains:

Toy Story (and humanity's future in space)

To Infinity and Beyond!

Recently, NASA announced a prototype for a new spacesuit that looks like Buzz Lightyear's.

I like the idea of NASA implementing design schemes from pop sci-fi culture. When NASA starts building more space stations, or places outposts on the Moon or Mars, I think they should be called "Starbases" or "Deep Space" stations. Stations built with other space-faring nations should be called "Babylon 1," and so on.

But, until then, all we have are the fictional versions. To feed your Buzz Lightyear fix (and all the other Toy Story characters) go here and spend some of your hard-earned gold-pressed latinum, and then wander over to the Zocalo and show off your goodies!

cheezburger

In the post on Tom and Jerry, I used "lolcat" speak towards the end. Locat is an artificial language, transliterated from English, that depicts how cats might speak if they could actually speak English. Understand English, that is obvious. Speaking English, well, not even the most ardent kitteh fan will admit that cats can speak English. But if they could...

...they would probably like cheeseburgers and routinely demand them from their humans. At least they do in one of the vehicles by which cats have exerted their rightful dominance over the Internet.

"icanhazcheezburger"is the signature saying from the site of the same name. Featuring cute pictures of cats, er, I mean "kittehs," the site has been an Internet rage for a good number of years.

Tom and Jerry

In this post I mentioned epic cat battles, as in cat vs dog or bird. I hinted at classic cat vs mouse battles, and that could only mean ONE THING: Tom and Jerry!!!

I wonder why the cat is always the antagonist in these classic cartoons? I suppose the phenomenon of cats basically owning the internet is proper and just revenge.

U can haz "Tom & Jerry" Gifts & Products? Sure, plz buy dem, oktnxbai! :-)

Tweety Bird Gifts and Products

One of the cutest of the Looney Tunes characters is Tweety Bird (another of my Mom's favorite, right up there with the Road Runner.

Although I am cat person, and am therefore inherently biased in favor of the cat in any cat vs dog, cat vs mouse or cat vs bird epic conflict, Tweety is clearly the protagonist and sympathetic character in her battles against Sylvester the cat.

SpongeBob SquarePants Gifts and Products

In this post I mention that no other cartoon show from today "...comes close" to matching the wit and wisecrackery of Looney Tunes Show. One cartoon comes in as a respectable second place (we can dispute how far away, a close second or distant), but in my humble opinion, "Spongebob Squarepants" manages to outclass the rest of all "modern" cartoonery.

There is a subtle undertone of community togetherness in Bikini Bottom. Also, you can't dismiss the fact that SpongeBob has an excellent work ethic. Granted, he may come off as a little bit obsessive and ridiculous about it, but he does appreciate working and the dedication involved, as well as not cutting corners. Values much needed by many people in today's workforce.

You like the Little Yellow Guy? There's loads of stuff to buy to show your appreciation and share the love:

Looney Tunes Show: Gifts And Products

In this previous post I introduced Looney Tunes Gifts And Products. Here is another shop for Looney Tunes Show: Gifts And Products.

I hope to earn enough from this to someday buy the entire series (the Classic and the newer ones) on DVD. Oh, what happiness that will be, to be able to watch Bugs infuriate Elmer Fudd, to see Wile E. Coyote buy yet another futile product from Acme. Any time I want!!!

Looney Tunes Gifts and Products

My favorite cartoon series of ALL TIME is Looney Tunes. Nothing else comes close.

The artistry (better even than much of today's cartoons), humor and wit put Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and the rest in a class by themselves. Bugs was my favorite. When I was a kid my Mom used to watch it with me, she loved the Road Runner and the way he went "BEEP BEEP." :-)

Here's a wonderful way to share the joy:

Google Doodles Gifts & Products

In my last post I made a very obvious statement: "There is a lot of money to be made online." Well, I will make another obvious statement: "Google is a very large Internet and advertising company and they make a lot of money online." How? By matching ads to the terms you use in Google online searches, as well as combing through your gmails and learning what you like and so on, and then serving ads based upon that. They also monitor where you go online and serve you ads based on your website visits. People who run blogs and websites and who run Google ads also see ads relevant to their site's content. Do you have a blog about alcoholism and recovery, such as this one: Sober Catholic? Well then, you'll see a lot of ads about alcohol recovery.

One thing that Google does that is fun is make "Google Doodles." A Google Doodle is a cute picture or drawing, utilizing the letters G O O G L E as the picture. They are displayed on the Google search page on national holidays, some religious holidays, and perhaps some famous person's birthday, or other anniversary.

Here is a great place for you to buy products that feature Google Doodles going all the way back to 2000:

Google Doodles Gifts and Products

Just an honest attempt...

...to sell things and earn a living online. I just felt like writing a brief post to further explain this blog's purpose.

There is a lot of money to be made online. That may seem like the mother of all obvious statements short of "water is wet" and "fire is hot." When I am writing a post about a particular topic or brand and such, I will try to be informative and entertaining.

Not sure how successful I'll be on the "entertaining" part, but at the very least you may be drawn into at least considering buying whatever it is I'm selling.

I would like to reiterate that earning money online is risky for both the seller and buyer. Everything that is offered through here is just a bunch of honest products and services that you may or may not want or even need. But they should be useful and interesting and fill some vacuum. Perhaps you need a gift for someone else and you can't find it elsewhere. Perhaps it'll be here.

Anyway, buying stuff through this blog should be painless and easy. It is usually link to someone else's store and we get a referral fee or commission. Soon I will add Amazon and other online store widgets.

Well, please follow and subscribe to this blog, and buy stuff! Thank you!

This Blog is back!

After this blog was retired by me and all posts transferred to SoberCatholic.com, I have decided to revive it. The intent will be different than before.

As the Profile on the right says:

"A sober alcoholic and revert to the Church who found continued sobriety and serenity in the Faith. Now engaging the Web to "Seek first the Kingdom of God" through "new media" applications. Please visit my blogs about all of that here: http://www.sobercatholic.com and http://thefourlastthings.sobercatholic.com. I am also trying to earn income by various online methods. To avoid looking like a spam blog, I hope to have interesting content mixed in with marketing and promotion offers."

So, I will have some general rambling and blogging about miscellaneous things, interspersed with products and services that I think might be useful.

The "general rambling and blogging about miscellaneous things" are intended to prevent people from thinking that this is yet another spam blog. I like to spend considerable free time looking up stuff and wandering about the web (to the detriment of my more "serious" blogs  Paul Sofranko Dot Net, Sober Catholic and The Four Last Things) and I figure I can maybe put that to work, here.
